About Jessica
my journey
I have been active for as long as I can remember; starting with sports as soon as I could run. I later dabbled into swimming, weightlifting, and running (11 years). I ran competitively in high school and was a part of the state champion team my freshman and sophomore year. I enjoyed the activity so much, I was swimming before school, running after school, and then cycling and running on the weekends. My junior year, I finally decided to leave competitive sports altogether when I realized I was simply in love with exercising.
When I was in sports I had a healthy, athletic build. Once I turned to independent exercising, I also dove more into nutrition. Enjoying the process too much, I became obsessive and underweight. I developed secondary amenorrhea (loss of menstrual cycle) for 2 ½ years. Not understanding the consequences to this, I did not rush to gain weight. For the first time in my life I felt weak and unhealthy. I wanted to feel strong and powerful. This is when I turned to weightlifting.
I hold my personal training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM CPT). I specialize in weightlifting, muscle building, strength training, gaining and losing weight, and re-composition. I look forward to helping others find a balanced and healthy lifestyle that works for them!
